About Bluebird Holistic Health
At Bluebird Holistic Health, I provide integrative, whole-person mental health care grounded in the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, bodies, and relationships are deeply interconnected. My work centers the mind–body connection, recognizing that stress, trauma, and relational wounds are not just cognitive experiences, but are held in the nervous system and expressed through patterns of behavior, emotional reactivity, and disconnection from self and others.
Bluebird Holistic Health is a non-stock corporation offering virtual counseling services, with in-person sessions available as clinically appropriate. I prioritize personalized, private care that honors each client’s unique history, pace, and goals. A sliding scale is available for out-of-network clients, reflecting my commitment to accessibility and ethical care.
If you are seeking a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world, strengthen your emotional and relational capacities, and develop practical tools for growth, I welcome you to reach out. Healing is not about fixing what is broken—it is about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that already carry resilience, wisdom, and the capacity for connection. You do not have to walk that journey alone.

About Me
Hi, I’m Dr. Whitley. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma recovery, and relationship and marriage concerns. My work also integrates expressive arts therapy, sexuality and intimacy, and women’s mental health, with a strong emphasis on the mind–body connection.
I hold a PhD in Mind–Body Medicine with a focus in Integrative Mental Health and am a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor. In addition to my clinical practice, I teach at the graduate level and have spent many years working with adult clients across a range of life stages and challenges.
My background also includes advanced training in leadership and education, with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. This interdisciplinary foundation informs my thoughtful, holistic approach to care.
In my practice, I draw from trauma-informed, attachment-based, and parts-oriented approaches to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and compassion for the protective strategies they’ve developed over time.

I use mindfulness-based practices to support nervous system regulation, guided reflection to increase insight, and creative and expressive techniques to access meaning that can’t always be reached through words alone. Rather than focusing on symptom elimination, I help clients understand why certain patterns exist, what they’ve been protecting, and how to move toward change in a way that feels safe, sustainable, and aligned with their values.
